Biography

Dr. Traish is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained cornea specialist who has been with CEENTA since 2015, servicing the Charlotte area in our Belmont and Pineville offices. She is originally from Belmont, Massachusetts and completed her ophthalmology training and fellowship at Harvard University's Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston.

After training, she practiced cornea and comprehensive ophthalmology in Chicago as an academic faculty member in the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Illinois from 2010-2015. From 2011-2015 she also served as the Associate Residency Director for the Ophthalmology residency training program at UIC, teaching residents cataract surgery and mentoring cornea fellows. She was awarded the Golden Apple teaching award her first two years in the department for exemplary teaching of residents. She also has been awarded the Best Doctors Award by her peers for 2015-2016.

She evaluates and treats adults with a wide range of ophthalmic diseases ranging from the routine to the complex, including cataracts, mild glaucoma, dry eye disease and diabetic eye exams. She has a particular interest in corneal diseases, including corneal infections, dystrophies and children with corneal diseases. She performs cataract and corneal surgeries. In her free time she enjoys traveling with her friends and family and going to pure barre classes.
