Biography

Nnana Amakiri, MD, is a fellowship-trained cornea and glaucoma specialist in Charlotte, NC. His areas of expertise include traditional and laser-assisted cataract surgery, LASIK, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and premium intraocular lenses.

After graduating from Cornell University with a degree in neurobiology, Dr. Amakiri earned his medical degree from Texas Tech Health Sciences Center. He became chief resident at Moran Eye Center and completed his fellowship in cornea, glaucoma, and refractive surgery at Harvard Medical School. 

Outside of the office, Dr. Amakiri enjoys poetry, reading, and watching sports.

Dr. Amakiri will be practicing at our SouthPark (6035 Fairview Road, Charlotte, NC) office.
