Dr. Alli (Norris) Vollmer earned her bachelor’s degree from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana and completed her doctorate in audiology (Au.D.) at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. During her graduate studies, Dr. Vollmer gained experience at clinics throughout the Midwest including the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center and St. Vincent Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She also spent time in Lusaka, Zambia providing hearing screenings to children and providing informational sessions to staff at multiple organizations as part of the Purdue University Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences Study Abroad program. Dr. Vollmer completed her fourth-year externship at CEENTA to conclude her doctoral degree and was hired as a full-time audiologist.
Dr. Vollmer’s interest in audiology began by working with children with communicative disabilities including deaf and hard of hearing students in the greater Indianapolis area. She is dedicated to providing superior hearing healthcare to populations of all ages. Her clinical interests include pediatric diagnostics and rehabilitation, adult rehabilitation, pediatric and adult cochlear implants, newborn hearing evaluations and electrophysiologic testing. Her goal is to provide her patients, regardless of age, with the tools they need to successfully participate in essential daily communication.
Dr. Vollmer holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (CCC-A) and has licensure in both North and South Carolina.
Dr. Vollmer is originally from Indianapolis where she enjoys returning to visit with family and friends, and is an avid sports fan of the Butler University Men’s Basketball team, Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Cubs! She enjoys socializing in Charlotte, and enjoying the outdoors with her husband and dog, Wrigley.
