Allison McAlpine (Baker), MD, is CEENTA's newest cornea specialist

CEENTA is pleased to announce that Allison McAlpine, MD, has joined our team on October 11, 2022.

Dr. McAlpine’s practice features a wide spectrum of eye conditions and treatments, including corneal diseases such as keratoconus, corneal cross-linking, traditional and laser-assisted cataract surgery, dry eye, and astigmatism. She will see patients at our Concord and University offices.

Graduating from Clemson University with a degree in biological sciences, Dr. McAlpine earned her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed her internship at Brookwood Baptist Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, became chief resident at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and finished her fellowship in cornea, external disease, and refractive surgery at the University of Colorado.

In addition, she has conducted thorough research on congenital nasolacrimal duct obstruction, cataract surgery, and retinopathy.

“I’m thrilled to be joining CEENTA and have the opportunity to provide cornea and comprehensive eye care to our Charlotte and Concord residents,” Dr. McAlpine said.

“We are pleased that Dr. McAlpine has chosen CEENTA to start her career as our new cornea specialist,” CEENTA CEO Jag Gill, ScD, said. “Our current and prospective patients will benefit from her strong area of expertise.”
