CEENTA is happy to announce CEO Jag Gill, ScD, was presented with the North Carolina Medical Group Management Association 2019 Administrator of the Year Award. The Administrator of the Year award honors a medical practice leader who has demonstrated exceptional guidance and management proficiency, and who has helped enhance the effectiveness of health care delivery in North Carolina. This involves not only creating a successful business enterprise but also making a real difference within their communities, while enhancing the quality and care for patients from all backgrounds and walks of life. Dr. Gill, who has been CEO since 2013, was recognized for CEENTA’s growth, the implementation of Epic, his creation of CEENTA’s administrative residency program, and his mentorship of students in the UNCC Master’s in Health Administration program. Dr. Gill is committed to grooming healthcare leaders of tomorrow with support and initiatives that are substantial and effective. “It is apparent Dr. Jag Gill has shown dedication and commitment to the healthcare profession by working not just in the short term, but thinking ahead in the long term as well,” NCMGMA Governance Chair Melissa White said. “Receiving this award was a humbling surprise and a genuine honor,” Dr. Gill said. “Everyone I work with, from the physicians to the staff to the residents, gives me a sense of pride in the work we do here for our patients and for the community.”The NCMGMA also presented CEENTA with the 2019 Practice of the Year Award.
