​CEENTA welcomes four new physicians

Charlotte Eye Ear Nose & Throat Associates, P.A. (CEENTA) is proud to announce four new physicians – Bradley Allen, MD, Ernest Bhend, MD, Isaac Dingle, MD, and Casey Mathys, MD – are joining CEENTA today.

Bradley Allen, MD, is a retina specialist who joins CEENTA after completing his retina fellowship at The Ohio State University. He earned his bachelor’s degrees from the University of Georgia and his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. His internship was at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where he served as chief resident. His residency was also at The Ohio State University. He will see patients at CEENTA’s SouthPark, Statesville, and Steele Creek offices.

Ernest Bhend, MD, is a general ophthalmologist who comes to CEENTA from the Missouri Eye Institute, where he has spent the last 10 years. Dr. Bhend earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia and his medical degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia School of Medicine. He completed his internship at the University of Missouri – Columbia Hospitals and Clinics. His residency was at the Mason Eye Institute, University of Missouri – Columbia. Dr. Bhend will treat patients at CEENTA’s SouthPark and Matthews offices.

Isaac Dingle, MD, is a general otolaryngologist. He will dedicate part of his time to providing inpatient otolaryngology services at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, Carolinas Medical Center-Main, and Carolinas Medical Center-Mercy, and will provide outpatient care at CEENTA’s SouthPark office. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston and his master’s degree from the Citadel. He earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. His surgical internship was at the University of California San Diego, and his residency was at the University of South Florida.

Casey Mathys, MD, is a cornea specialist and general ophthalmologist who has practiced locally in Charlotte since 2009. Dr. Mathys earned his fellowship in cornea, external diseases, and refractive surgery from Eye Consultants of Atlanta. He earned his undergraduate degree from Emory University and his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. His internship was at the University of California at San Diego. His residency was at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he also served as chief resident from 2007-08. He will see patients at CEENTA’s SouthPark, Belmont, and Pineville offices.

“I’m very excited to be joining this wonderful organization, and I look forward to providing excellent comprehensive retinal care to many members of the Charlotte community in the coming years,” Dr. Allen said.

“This a great time for our patients in eye care,” Dr. Bhend said. “Rapid advances in technology and new techniques are giving providers more and more options to take care of our patients needs. CEENTA has been on the forefront of these advances and I'm very excited to be joining their team.”

“My family and I are excited to relocate to Charlotte and join the CEENTA family,” Dr. Dingle said. “I look forward to providing cutting-edge ear, nose, and throat care to patients at our SouthPark location as well as to inpatients at CMC-Main, CMC-Mercy, and Novant Presbyterian Hospitals. I hope to build lasting relationships with families as I strive to improve the quality of life of children and adults throughout our area.”
