It’s official: CEENTA is Charlotte’s Top Place to Work

Charlotte Eye Ear Nose & Throat Associates, P.A. is thrilled to announce the Charlotte Observer ranked it 2016’s number one Top Place to Work among large companies in the Charlotte area.

This is the second year CEENTA made the Top Places to Work list. Rankings are compiled based on surveys about each workplace.

Employees and management alike don’t hesitate to talk about how nice it is to work at CEENTA. Patient Representative Naquisha Cuthbertson, who works in CEENTA’s Matthews office, has been here for two years. She loves how family-oriented the company is.

“The doctors are great and so is their staff,” Ms. Cuthbertson said. “Everyone works well together and really looks out for one another. We do hold one another accountable for what we do, but we never try to tear each other down.”

The doctors are always willing to help when someone is in need, Ms. Cuthbertson said, which isn’t surprising given how many patient referrals come in daily.

Jessica Jordan is a patient representative in Steele Creek and has worked at CEENTA for a little more than seven years. She says the fact that so much of the staff has multiple years’ experience is very helpful.

“With everyone’s knowledge and open-door policies, it’s nice to know someone is always there, eager to help in any situation,” she said.

Ms. Jordan said administration takes the time to get to know every employee and their wants and needs. They listen to and work with the staff to create a better environment for work and patient care.

“It feels like a team instead of a hierarchy system,” she said.

Stephanie Herzog, an ophthalmic assistant on CEENTA’s reserve staff, travels to different locations each day to help doctors as necessary. But despite how many offices CEENTA has and how far apart they might be, it’s still a very close-knit atmosphere.

“Everyone was extremely welcoming when I was hired and that has not changed one iota throughout my time here,” said Ms. Herzog, who started in November 2015. “Most large companies lose that sense of belonging and the employees fade into the mix. At CEENTA, you can go to any office at any time and expect a warm welcome. All staff, even management, makes a conscious effort to get to know you as a person, not just a clinician. This creates a long-lasting relationship that I believe CEENTA as a whole prides itself on.”

Ms. Herzog also loves that CEENTA does so much charity work through CEENTAcares. This year, CEENTAcares has been raising money for the Alzheimer’s Association.

“It goes to show that CEENTA knows what it means to give back, which is truly great to be a part of,” Ms. Herzog said.

All three say they hope to have long, fruitful careers here at CEENTA.

Administration shares their sentiments, too.

CEENTA Human Resources Director Annette Nash commends the employees and management for the hard work they do in making CEENTA a top place to work.

“We’re dealing with people who don’t feel well,” Ms. Nash said. “It’s not an easy job but they have a love for patient care. People really love working here, and it speaks volumes about the support of physicians and leadership.”

“We are grateful to be able to have such a dedicated and capable team to work with every day,” CEENTA Co-President Michael Sicard, MD, said. “For 93 years, CEENTA has taken pride in our care of patients and the corporation that has grown to service our community.”

“We are extremely happy to once again be one of Charlotte’s Top Places to Work,” CEENTA CEO Jag Gill said. “We have an incredible staff, both on the medical and administrative sides, and we’re glad so many of them think CEENTA is a great place to come to work every day.”
