CEENTA is pleased to announce Priyanka Kanakamedala, MD, and Payal Patel, MD, joined us on September 10, 2019.
Dr. Kanakamedala is an ophthalmologist with a cornea, external diseases, and refractive surgery fellowship. She sees patients in CEENTA’s Concord, Huntersville, and University offices.
Dr. Kanakamedala earned her bachelor’s degree from Duke University and her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. Her internship was at MacNeal Hospital. Her ophthalmology residency was at the Indiana University School of Medicine, where she served as chief resident. Dr. Kanakamedala’s fellowship was at the University of Minnesota.
“I am thrilled to join CEENTA and bring the latest advancements in cornea and comprehensive eye care to the Charlotte area,” Dr. Kanakamedala said. “I've been taken by the beauty of North Carolina since my time here in college, and I'm excited to return and serve the community.”
Dr. Patel is a comprehensive ophthalmologist. She sees patients in CEENTA’s Monroe office.
Dr. Patel graduated summa cum laude with her bachelor’s degree from West Virginia University. She earned her doctorate from West Virginia University School of Medicine, and her internship was at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Dr. Patel’s ophthalmology residency was at Summa Health System, where she served as chief resident.
