As a singer in a local choir, I began noticing problems with my voice after rehearsals started in the fall. Parts of my vocal range became difficult to reach, and my vocal stamina declined significantly. After trying several remedies on my own without improvement, my choir director referred me to Dr. Darrell Klotz.

Scheduling was quick and easy through the patient portal, and during my initial appointment Dr. Klotz performed a scope that identified lesions on my vocal cords. He referred me to Shelby Jackloski, MM, MS, CCC-SLP, for voice therapy, where I learned techniques to strengthen my voice and improve my vocal health. Although therapy helped, I was still experiencing symptoms after a few months and a repeat scope showed that additional treatment was needed, and Dr. Klotz recommended surgery.

The surgery and recovery process went very smoothly. Shelby worked with me before and after the procedure to help me prepare, follow vocal restrictions, and safely return to singing. Recovery was largely pain-free, and I was able to return to work after four weeks and complete voice therapy after seven weeks. Just ten weeks after surgery, I performed in my choir's spring show and was able to confidently sing the featured closing solo.

I am incredibly grateful to Dr. Klotz, Shelby, and the entire CEENTA team for helping me regain my voice. Their expertise, support, and care made a tremendous difference in both my singing and everyday life.
