CEENTA is proud to announce our 2024 CEENTAcares partner: the Joe Martin ALS Foundation.
The Joe Martin ALS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to empowering individuals with ALS (PALS) and their families through community-based services such as homecare aids, caregiver assistance, and additional resources on the condition. Named after the former Principal Corporate Affairs Officer at Bank of America who passed away from ALS in 2006, the charity has maintained a continual presence in the Charlotte community.
As the newest partner of CEENTAcares, CEENTA’s charity wing, the Joe Martin ALS Foundation will receive a lump sum donation at the end of the calendar year generated by our practice’s internal fundraising efforts including ticket raffles for local partners Charlotte Checkers, Charlotte Hornets, and Carolina Panthers along with team member “Denim Days”. This fundraising culminates in the yearly CEENTAcares Classic Golf Tournament featuring donations from regional and national businesses.
“CEENTA is honored to choose the Joe Martin ALS Foundation as our CEENTAcares charity partner this year,” CEENTA CEO Jag Gill, ScD, FACHE, FACMPE, stated. “For nearly twenty years, their organization has provided vital services for patients and families affected by ALS in the Charlotte region, and we are dedicated to raising additional funds for their cause through multiple internal projects throughout 2024.”
“We are thrilled to be selected as the CEENTAcares 2024 partner of the year as our two organizations are closely aligned in our efforts to improve quality of life for people across the Metrolina area,” stated Catherine Fraser, Director of Development at the Joe Martin ALS Foundation. “This partnership will ensure that we can continue to support families in our community as they bravely navigate the daily challenges of ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis). Through our wide range of free services, including in-home care and caregiver support, we ensure that people living with ALS can approach every day with purpose, joy, and hope.”
The Joe Martin ALS Foundation joins a list of other organizations who have partnered with CEENTAcares in the past, including Lions Services, The CARE Project, Philips Academy, and the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Charlotte.
