What is spasmodic dysphonia?

Spasmodic dysphonia (SD) is a neurological voice disturbance that causes spasming of the vocal folds. It is also considered a focal dystonia of the larynx.

The Spasmodic Dysphonia Support Group of Charlotte is an opportunity for patients with SD to meet others, get support for their condition, and keep up with the latest medical research.

For information about the group, please contact Mary Bifaro at 704-846-3519 or [email protected].
