CERTIFICATIONS/MEMBERSHIPS: Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. Passed recertification exams in 1986, 1992, 1998 and 2003 in general medicine. He has specialized in otolaryngology and allergy for more than 23 years.

David is past president of the Central Carolina Association of Physician Assistants, a regional chapter of the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants. He is also a member of the North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants, and has held positions on their board of directors and their nominating and conference planning committees. He is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and Physician Assistants in Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery.

ARTICLES: David co-authored an article on myringotomy tubes
published in the American Family Physician Journal in 1988. He also had an article published in the January 2000 edition of Clinician News.
