Fellowship: Cornea and external disease, Duke University Eye Center, 1984. He joined Charlotte Eye Ear Nose & Throat Associates in 1984.

CERTIFICATIONS/AFFILIATIONS: Board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Diplomat of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the National Medical Honor Society, Alpha Omega Alpha. He is also a member of the North Carolina Medical Society, North Carolina Association of Physicians and Eye Surgeons, and the Mecklenburg County Medical Society. He is past-chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology at Charlotte Eye Ear Nose & Throat Associates and the past-chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology of Presbyterian Health Care Systems.

EXPERTISE: Cataract surgery, corneal transplant surgery, external diseases of the eye, and glaucoma treatment and surgery.
