Types of Hearing Aids

CEENTA offers many different types of hearing aids by popular hearing aid brands like Widex, Phonak, Oticon, MicroTech, ReSound, Starkey and others.

Conventional hearing aids use analog electronics and manual volume control. They are minimally adjustable, feature linear amplification and usually have just one channel and single memory.

Programmable hearing aids also feature analog electronics, but they are computer programmable thanks to a computer control. These aids adapt to the dynamics of the human ear and feature an automatic volume control, two channels and multiple memories (optional).

Digital Hearing Aids have the highest degree of programmability as they use only digital electronics. Like programmable hearing aids, digital hearing aids adapt to the dynamics of the human ear, have an automatic volume control, multiple memories (optional) and they are usually multi-channel.

Our audiology department also offers implantable hearing aids, cochlear implants and hearing aid batteries.
